Great White North Sprint Distance Triathlon
ANNOUNCEMENT
Hubbles Lake is currently closed due to water quality issues. After consulting with Alberta Health and Parkland County we are unable to find a suitable swim venue for the 2021 triathlon. A bike/run format will be implemented to and from the Heritage Park Pavilion.

Bike start time 8:00am
When you arrive on race morning, park and bring your bike/run gear to the transition zone. Do not rack your bike – keep it with you for the bike start.
The single transition zone will includes racks numbered by groups (i.e. #1-#24, #25-#49, etc). Place your run gear at a position along your rack.
If you wish to warm-up you can enter in-out of parking area (do not wear a timing chip during your warm up).
Pick up your timing chip at the timing tent located by the bike start, then self-seed yourself based on cycling average speed (fastest to slowest).
Technical support will be provided on course but make sure you have the appropriate supplies in case of mechanical issues (replacement inner tube).

The run course takes you out of T2 and onto 50th ST southbound. Turn left on 47th ave, follow to 45th ave and then turn right and head to the trail system. The turnaround is located 2.5km mark, head back to the pavilion to finish.

RACE RULES AND REGULATIONS
The Great White North Triathlon follows all applicable ITU rules
DRAFTING
There will be no drafting on the bike leg of the Great White North Triathlon. The draft zone is 3 meters wide by 7 meters long.
SPORTSMANSHIP
Any competitor behaving in an unsportsmanlike manner will be disqualified on the spot. Our volunteers are the main reason this race is so great!
Please treat them with the utmost respect at all times, including all activities before and after the event.
