The Calgary Ultra Trail Run offers the unique opportunity to experience a well organized ultra race inside Calgary with 12k Solo, 25k Solo/Team and 50k Solo/Team categories.  Each loop includes single-track, some shale and a touch of tarmac plus several ridge-ascents.  Whether you’re a grizzled ultra-veteran or first time trail racer, this race adventure delivers something for everyone – even a cash prize for our Ultra 50K winners!

Race Package Pickup

Race morning before 8:00am – 8:45am


Prize Purse

Ultra Trail 50k prize purse of $500 ($250 first male & female).  Additional draw prizes will be awarded after the race to participants.


Race Entry

Your race entry includes:

  • Finisher tech t-shirt, honkin’ medal, race bib and head buff
  • 5 well stocked aid stations along the course
  • RFID chip timing with real-time web results
  • Lunch, Cinnzeo rolls and other great post-race food

Online registration closes June 3 at midnight.  Race day registration available before 8:30am at start.

 

 

 

 


Start Time 9:00am

The East Loop Aid Stations will be open to 2:00pm and the West Loop to 3:30pm.  You can take up to 7 hours to officially complete the course.

50k Solo & 50k Team Relay (4 x 12.5km) – 9:00am


25k Solo & 25k Team Relay (2 x 12.5km) – 9:00am

Starting Location

Fish Creek Provincial Park Calgary – Glennfield Area B
Athletes exit Macleod trail to parking at Glennfield day use area.  Our start/finish zone is at Area B northeast of parking.  Family and friends are welcome to come through the day to cheer you on!

Aid Stations

The East Loop Aid Stations will be open to 2:00pm and the West Loop to 3:30pm.  You can take up to 7 hours to officially complete the course.

Earn a free run race credit by volunteering at one of our five aid stations.

The course offer two out-&-back trail loops of totaling 25 km.  You will intersect the start/finish zone with gear storage and aid after each lap.

Our timing crew offer chip timing and web results in real-time on Zone4.  Awards will be held after the top three of each category finish.
